Kausar Nag Lake is situated in the Pir Panjal range. It is located at an altitude of about 3900 meters above sea level. This is one of the highest Lake of Jammu and Kashmir. The lake is about 3.5 km long and 780 meter wide.
This triangular alpine lake is surrounded by beautiful snowcapped mountains. The source of water in this lake is snow. During Winter the Lake covered with snow and got frozen.
HOW TO REACH KAUSAR NAG?
If you are in Srinagar you can start your journey from Srinagar to Aharbal waterfall.
It takes about 3-4 hours to reach Kausar Nag from Aharbal.
You can also reach Kausar Nag via District Reasi by it is very long trek.
