Butter chicken, also known as 'murgh Makhani' is a popular dish in India. It is a famous Dish in Indian restaurents. It is served with roti or naan (an Indian bread), or you can also serve this with rice.

Ingredients:-

  •    1 tablespoon tandoori masala powder
  •     ⅓ cup plain yogurt
  •     1 ½ pounds skinless,boneless chicken thighs 
  •     ½ onion, chopped
  •     1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger
  •     1 clove garlic
  •     2 tablespoon water
  •     ¼ teaspoon Indian chili powder
  •     1 cup tomato sauce
  •     3 tablespoons cooking oil
  •     2 teaspoons gram masala
  •     2 tablespoons butter
  •     1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
  •     1 teaspoon salt 

Directions 

Step 1

  Mix the tandoori masala powder and yougurt together in a large bowl, add the chicken and and mix it well with the yogurt and masala.
 Marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour.

Step 2

  Put the ginger, Onion, and garlic with the water in a blender or mixer and make a fine smooth paste; set aside.

Step 3

    Heat 1.5 tablespoon oil in a large panover medium heat. Cook the chicken in the hot oil until it turns light brown on all sides, after 5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside. Heat the 2 tablespoons oil in another pan. Fry the onion,giner & garlice paste in the hot oil until the moisture is mostly evaporated, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle the garam masala and chili powder over the onion mixture. Pour the tomato sauce into the mixture, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 5 minutes. Return the chicken to the pan ; bring to a boil. Add the butter, fenugreek leaves, and salt; reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered until the chicken pieces turns brownish, Serve and enjoy.
